Athletics & Classical Education

From the apostle Paul, who lived in a time when the Greek Olympic Games took place as part of the religious festivals which honored the Greek gods and he probably had these games in mind when he wrote to the church in Corinth:

“Surely you know that many runners take part in a race, but only one of them wins the prize. Run, then, in such a way as to win the prize. Every athlete in training submits to strict discipline, in order to be crowned with a wreath that will not last; but we do it for one that will last forever. That is why I run straight for the finish line; that is why I am like a boxer who does not waste his punches. I harden my body with blows and bring it under complete control, to keep myself from being disqualified after having called others to the contest.” – I Corinthians 9:24-27

High School Sports

Our High School Sports program is quickly developing with various sports offered to our students. We offer Varsity girls basketball and volleyball; Varsity boys basketball, baseball and soccer; JV girls volleyball; and JV boys basketball. As a member of Panhandle Christian Conference, our teams compete against other private Christian schools in Florida and Alabama.

Middle School Sports

Our Middle School Sports program offers basketball and baseball for boys and basketball for girls. Both teams compete against other schools in the Panhandle Christian Conference.

Intra-School Sports

In our Intra-School Sports Program, we offer a variety of sports throughout the year for students in first through sixth grade. Students can participate in futsal, basketball, and baseball through weekly practices and games against other Gulf Pointe teams.

Intramural Sports

Our Intramural Sports program establishes the foundation for various sports for preschool through kindergarten students. Students in this program learn about the fundamentals of sports in a better-suited way for their age in a weekly after school program.
